Once again we're packed and ready to go - except that we don't seem to be able to get Franklin interested in the suitcases. So far, no cat picture, but that may still change.
Well this is as good as it gets. The extent of Franklin's interest in our packing...
Not knowing last year when we booked this cruise that it might be the only 30° temperatures we see this year, we're starting to feel somewhat prophetic about choosing this time and this itinerary. Of course, that all assumes that the weather forecasts we've been reading have been even close to accurate. As well, a vacation entirely at sea level with (hopefully) no sweaters or jackets required will make a nice change from the last one where we spent a week at elevations no lower than 8,000 feet.
We're looking forward to seeing the western Mediterranean, a part of the world we have not cruised before. The only places we've visited on earlier trips are Rome and London, and we're going to be in both for a couple of days pre- and post-cruise to re-familiarize ourselves and see some new sites. We will also have a chance to renew our acquaintance with Crystal Serenity. We haven't been on the ship since her last major drydock and there are a lot of new things to see.
As always, we hope you will enjoy following on our journey.
