Off Again to South America

Hello again! Here we are in final preparation for our adventure to Peru and Bolivia. We were just saying that it seems that we spend quite a bit of time in South America - this will be at least the fourth time we've been there. Maybe it's because there is so much to see and every country has something different and interesting to offer. Nevertheless, this will be the first time we spend a lot of time in one area and we're really looking forward to it. Of course, having had Machu Picchu on our 'bucket list' for many a year doesn't hurt the anticipation factor either.

As usual, we have to start the blog with the requisite cat photo. Franklin is getting a bit better at nosing around in the suitcases but we can't always guarantee a Thomas-like plant on top of our clothes, so we'll take the next best thing:

We are doing a ten day escorted tour with Tauck Tours, the same company we went to Africa with last year, so we know it will be a great trip. We will be on our way on Tuesday morning with a recovery day in Lima on Wednesday while we wait for the rest of the group to arrive. The tour officially starts on Thursday.
