We didn't leave the ship very often, but I added sketches with each excursion. Here is my 2026 sketchbook so far:
Regent Grandeur, like all other ships, has lots of interesting artwork all over the ship. Each Regent ship also has its own Fabergé Egg, on display in the Reception Lobby. There is also a lovely sand dollar montage on the sports deck above the pool. And finally, I really like the huge lampshades in Pacific Rim. They have the same ones on all three ships in this class, and I chose one of the motifs to sketch.
Our day in Cozumel in a nutshell:
We weren't off the ship for very long in Oranjestad, but I was able to get a few photos from shoreside and the ship.
In Curaçao I noticed a cute painted metal souvenir iguana at one of the stalls in the floating market, and added a couple of sketches from our tour stops.
And finally, Grenada. Fort Frederick, the nutmeg and cacao processors and a sketch of the national flower, the Heliconia. And after our mediocre lunch we went out to see the beach. It was quite windy even though the beach was sheltered.
Hope you enjoyed the sketches. Working my way up to the huge number I'll add in Japan. I will also be taking a separate book on tours with me.
